- What map file formats does Visual Intelligence support? AlertMedia supports four types of file formats when uploading custom layers: KML files, CSV files, KML URLs, and Public Feature Service URLs available on sources such as Esri’s Living Atlas.
- Do I need an Esri subscription to upload layers? No. Esri offers plenty of free Feature Layers in their Living Atlas marketplace that you can bring into AlertMedia. You may also use Google Earth and other GIS software programs to build your own custom map files. These custom map files must be saved in one of our supported file formats (KML or CSV).
- How many layers can I add to my AlertMedia instance? While there are no technical limits on the number of layers you can add to your layer library, we recommend using no more than 5-6 active layers at a time to maintain a manageable experience.
- Is Visual Intelligence an added cost? Certain features of Visual Intelligence are available to all AlertMedia customers. However, premium features like the ability to add specific data layers on the map can be added for an additional cost.
